Our sectional arrived at our Ocala, FL home in perfect condition on June 7. The delivery crew was very careful and unwrapped it at the door. The color is just perfect and it is perfect size match for our living room. The down wrap cushion option makes it great for sitting or snoozing. We appreciate the chance we had to visit your factory and make a seating test which led to us choosing this option. We will certainly recommend you to our new neighbors when they see the sectional. We ordered a full sleeper from you last fall. We purchased the air mattress for the sleeper; after using it several times with guests, they say they sleep very, very comfortably. My husband and I are very pleased with the sofa. The craftsmanship is superb, the denim fabric is sturdy and fits the rustic decor of the guest room. The large ottoman is perfect for lounging or with a tray as a coffee table. We were also pleased with the shipping, although we were not able to accept the first date the shippers wanted to deliver. They still delivered in a timely manner. Thank you for the fine product.

I love my couch! I looked everywhere for a couch this size! We needed a special size for the space. I looked at some of the 'higher' end stores and actually sat on their products. They aren't made as well nor do they have warranties. I could have spent the same amount of money for a couch from R&B with no ottoman, no custom size, only a few choices of fabric, not the same quality of workmanship, & no warranty. I read all of the testimonials and was impressed that everyone loved their furniture. I ordered a Crawford custom couch in Sultry Suede L:ichen with a sofa bed on one side. We increased our seat cushion to 5" & included the fiber down package. The fiber down package is wonderful. We needed a special size for the space, so I gave Cathy a measurement & it fits perfectly. Attention RV and travel trailer owners: There is an alternative to replacing your furniture with only Flexsteel options. We have found a great company to work with that will custom fit ANYTHING you want to replace what you currently have in your RV or trailer. It seems impossible to get RV furniture that does not include a sofa that makes into a bed. This is not what we wanted, the Flexsteel sofas are terribly uncomfortable to sit on, and more than uncomfortable to sleep on. Unfortunately, we do not have a choice out there. Well, guess again, CarolinaChair will work with you and will custom make a sofa or couch to fit your needs. We did not want our couch to make into a bed; this coach will feed 8, entertain 12, but it only sleeps 2. Therefore, we searched for a replacement couch for the Flexsteel and found it at CarolinaChair. This is a wonderful company to work with, and we did it completely over the Internet. I must admit that at first I was not comfortable ordering a couch over the internet, thinking I was buying a "pig in a poke" (guess that is dating me), but it is the best investment we have made since becoming full time RVers in 1998. If you are thinking about replacing sofas or chairs in your rig, you can't go wrong with considering CarolinaChair. I am so glad to finally be comfortable while watching TV.

I have tried several times to send you a message to let you know how much I am enjoying my new sofa but my server was down. It fit the space perfectly and has enhanced my room. I also noticed how well made it is. My dogs love to look at it too but are keeping their distance as "Mom" told them they couldn't get on it unless they were lying in her lap. I received my couch today and all I can say is, "WOW!!!" Everyone thought I was crazy to buy a sofa without going to the store, but you guys sure proved them all wrong. At long last, here are three pictures of our beautiful sofas. We love them! Thank you for your advice and guidance in helping me to customize them - the results are perfect, and you took the anxiety out of the process. Please, too, pass along to your manufacturing employees how much we appreciate the top quality - they are everything we had hoped for and more. We have had them now for three months, and I am so happy to say they have passed every possible test: the down-wrapped cushions hold up beautifully with minimal periodic plumping and are so comfortable, just right; the frames are solid and heavy - no squeaks! (which makes me realize of what lesser quality were our previous sofas); the material is beautiful and will wear wonderfully.

You can see from the pictures that the situation is a 'great room' - and the idea for the sofas was to have them tie together the dining chairs and the oriental rug in the seating area next to the fireplace. This they do most beautifully.

Friends who couldn't believe we were going to make such an important major purchase over the internet now compliment the couches and our shopping acumen - so I hope you will have more California business as a result.

I would like to add that the shipping was exactly as promised, and the delivery personnel professional, polite and on-time.

We been using the L shaped three piece sectional now for 6 weeks and we are amazed with this product. This was such a high ticket item and I had some reservations about purchasing on-line. I knew what quality sofa (in terms of structure and fabric) I was looking for because I had done my “homework” at a local high-end furniture dealer. CarolinaChair had equal quality with even better fabrics than what my local retailer had - at a much better price. Then, you have to ask yourself about customer service and how your local dealer should be able to give you excellent customer service and piece of mind. How can you find that on the internet? The chair was delivered about an hour ago, I couldn't pull myself away from it to write any sooner.. It is just what I expected!!! The color is perfect with my other furniture. The Reflex cushioning is so comfortable. I will try to get my son to take a picture of it where it will stay put for a few years (I hope). We have our furniture already! It looks great!... and it's so comfortable!! It makes our houseboat seem 10 years newer! That's right, we have already transported it to the houseboat and unpacked it. We only had but a moment to sit on it as we had much to do, but we could tell we choose the right furniture and company! Thanks for allowing us to visit your facility, customizing the pieces and building such quality furniture. Dee, Loretta and everyone else was extremely hospitable and helpful when we visited and the only thing missing is that we were not able to meet you, but I can tell you're equally as pleasant.

You requested feedback on the delivery so here are my comments. HDS could not have been more accommodating. After your e-mail on Tuesday, I called them for scheduling, told them about our trip scheduled for January 12-22 and requested a delivery either before the 12th or after the 22nd. The lady understood and suggested it might be after we returned, but said things could change and they would call me once a schedule was established. I received a call from them - I think on Thursday - and they said the furniture would arrive Monday between noon & 4pm. I questioned this because Monday was New Years Day. She confirmed Monday and I agreed. On Saturday, Tim (the driver) called and said they were running ahead of schedule..."Could I take the delivery on Sunday during the same window?". I agreed. I called Tim Sunday mid-morning to acquire a more accurate time of delivery and we discovered he had been routed past us twice (crossing counties and very inefficient) before the stop for our delivery. In fact, he was literally going to be driving within 500 yards of our office/warehouse - the delivery point. Further discussion resulted in me meeting him at the exit for his next stop (at my request, on his first pass by me) and us simply transferring the furniture directly from his truck to mine. The unloading process was less than 10 minutes, but it had to have saved them so much more in 'back & forth' travel time. Tim was very appreciative. Tim and his helper (I can't remember his name) were very courteous. In fact, after parking their truck, both of them approached me with their arm outstretched for a handshake and introduction. Both of them were very team-oriented, hard workers and a pleasure to experience. I can't imagine HDS is fortunate enough to have that kind of staff throughout their entire organization, but one things for sure, y'all picked a good company to make your deliveries.

Just a quick note to tell you how pleased we are with our sofa. It arrived right before Santa came for a holiday visit (sitting on the knee, etc) - - an hour later there were 24 people in our living room. How wonderful to have the sofa in the sunroom (off of the living room) for spillover traffic. I spent as much time in there as I could. My husband & I have already fallen asleep on the sectional already.

Cathy, we received the sofa yesterday as scheduled. It is so beautiful, and I am feeling guilty for having it back here in our setting room off the bedroom and not in the living room. I did coordinate the colors in there, also (if I continue feeling too guilty and decide to share it with the rest of the zoo).

I asked for custom changes mostly because this is the first time I ever had the option. I would have never dreamed I could order a "custom sofa" at such a great price. It seems the sofas in the showrooms are getting smaller, and I wanted a longer sofa if I do decide to move this into the living room.

My husband doesn't take notice of things like furniture or clothes, but he was really impressed with this sofa, and the two delivery guys were going, "Like, Wow, we've never seen a sofa designed like this. It is beautiful." Now, how is that for personal recommendations? Thanks for all of your help and the personal touch you put on this order.

What's a tall dwarf to do for comfort in a world where everyone else is taller and taller? The furniture industry has followed the trend and caters to the oversized and forgets that short people exist. The stores are filled with oversized furniture and short people desperately looking for something that does NOT cause their heads to be pushed forward and feet to dangle above the floor. Such a chair is not to be found. I am 4 feet and 9 inches tall, definitely shorter than that which is ordinarily considered short. When younger, I learned to sit on my feet in a yoga-like position and go through other contortions just to occupy my own furniture as well as that of other people. As I aged (now 73 years old), the bones and muscles started to object and I truly longed for a chair to fit me. NOT AVAILABLE! When I came across the email address for CarolinaChair, I asked for a chair for short people while thinking that it was one more exercise in futility Surprise! The answer came back that they would make a chair to my dimensions!!!!!!!! I must be dreaming!!! It was a difficult thing for me to arrive at the dimensions I eventually furnished them. They helped me with a chart showing how to measure. Eventually, my little chair arrived, looking very well made and beautiful. It is the most comfortable chair I have had since becoming adult. Thanks to CarolinaChair, my remaining years will include comfortable seating. I recommend it for all other tall dwarfs out there. See photo.

Dear Cathy, our beautiful new sectional sleeper sofa was delivered Friday, 10/13/06. The delivery men were unbelievably efficient and thoughtful, walking the sofa up our very steep 300 foot long driveway to avoid damaging our new driveway with their big truck. Cathy, My son's mini sleep sofa arrived yesterday, and I wanted to let you know how happy I am with it! It's perfect in the way it's made and it suits our needs so well. As Andrew often has friends to sleep over, I was trying to figure out the Trundle bed-bunk bed dilemma when he was the lucky recipient of a twin size water bed- so I was on to plan B- and this twin sleeper sofa is a winner in 2 ways. The HEP guy didn’t get here until after 6 p.m., but he’d called earlier in the day and told me his timeframe, and it worked out just fine. Turned out, there was a storm here and the Route 66 parade was cancelled, so I was at home anyway and it really didn’t matter what time he arrived. My husband and I originally went to the CarolinaChair web site because they were cited as a manufacturer of custom furniture that used Sunbrella indoor/outdoor fabrics. Once we explored the web site, we were amazed at the custom furniture options that were available, the variety of performance fabrics offered and the quality of materials used in the manufacture of the couches and chairs. But over the internet?

We certainly felt more comfortable when we read what your customers had to say about their experiences with CarolinaChair. But we really became comfortable after talking with you in person. All our questions were answered and when we requested performance fabrics to look at and test (they had to be “bulldog proof”), they arrived within days which made our choice simpler.

Well, we recently received our Hughes couch, chair and chair & half – almost to the exact date estimated when we placed the order. The Sultry Suede fabric we selected for the couch and chair & half (stone) looked great and both pieces had an expensive “tailored” look. The C.O.M. chair (a Sunbrella fabric) was beyond our expectation -- a truly magnificent piece of craftsmanship.

The delivery of the furniture was also a pleasant experience. We were able to track the shipment and once delivery was arranged, it was delivered on time and with care.

As for the “bulldog proof” fabric, it has been tested frequently and returns to its original look every time with a little soap and water. Our chief tester, Guinness, is a 3 year old fawn and white English bulldog that in the past prevented us from decorating our family room with quality furniture. But our performance fabric CarolinaChair furniture continues to look factory fresh despite every effort on his part to add his own custom stains. No more blankets, throws and covers.

We are so thrilled with our custom-made sectional sofa. Everything was just perfect about our order and it was shipped exactly as promised, in 8 weeks. We had created our custom home three years ago, but it never occurred to us that we could have custom furniture built as well. We really cannot believe we bought upholstered furniture on the internet! We did and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. After months and months of shopping and sitting, we were further away from making a decision on purchasing two loveseats than when we started. In great frustration, late one night we turned to the internet. At Carolinachair.com there were many different styles and a multitude of fabrics from which to choose. Best of all, there was no salesperson pushing us into an ill conceived decision. The next morning, we started the process with a request for fabric samples. Several months, two houses and dozens of samples later, we placed our order for two loveseats. We were moving to another state and wanted delivery coordinated with our move. Like all the requests for fabric samples, the coordination was no problem for the professional staff at Carolina Chair. The big day arrived and so did the loveseats. The protective packing was most impressive as the loveseats were lifted from the truck. The two young moving men were pros. They unwrapped, placed the loveseats just where we wanted and removed the packing material. They even moved a heavy marble top coffee table into place. Then, the true enjoyment of texture and color became a reality. The loveseats were exactly what we had envisioned. There was still one aspect that was impossible to discern via the internet: “Will we sit in the loveseats or on them?” Sitting in upholstered furniture is for the very young. All our fears were dismissed. The seat cushions and supporting springs were every bit as firm (not hard) as we hoped. Additionally, the seat height and depth were perfect. Our first house guests have come and gone. The true test of enjoying the loveseats passed with flying colors. There is one point that was not considered prior to ordering. Our sectional was designed especially for our up stairs loft, which is home to our computer center, t.v. and game area. The loft is a long narrow area that runs along one wall around the corner and under our front windows. We were looking to maximize our seating area for the kids as well as allowing them a comfortable place to lay around on to watch t.v., play, or chat. Since the sectional ends very close to the entertainment center, we did not want the bluntness of a chair end, so we elected to end our sectional in a chaise, this softens our sectional and the kids fight over the premier kicking it spot. We must say you provide excellent customer service, along with a premier product. We will be placing future furniture orders through you.

Hi Cathy, Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that our sectional was delivered on Saturday. We are thrilled! The picture didn't do it justice! The fabric is perfect, soft yet durable and it is a really nice piece of solid furniture. Great workmanship! The delivery guys were great too. We had been having really bad thunderstorms that day and I was worried that it wouldn't get delivered, but the storms broke long enough for them to get everything inside and just as they were pulling out of the driveway it started pouring! They definitely went above and beyond what I would have expected in a delivery company. Not only was the delivery on a Saturday, but it was also around 8:30 pm. Dear Cathy, I have been wanting to write this letter for a long time to tell you how much I love my new love seats. I've decided to write this before I even have my breakfast or clean up from cooking my kids breakfast so that I can actually write this to you.

Let me just say that the experience of ordering couches from you has exceeded my expectations. It's not enough to say that the couches themselves look beautiful. They are in a sun room which I can see from the kitchen and therefore see all day. The look of the whole room has changed remarkably with the love seats and I just love it. But the whole experience itself from start to finish was impressively trouble free, and may I say even fun once I got over my anxiety over ordering couches online. What still amazes me is how your brother made couches that fit my expectations exactly, without even seeing the sketch that I made for myself on graph paper, (because I changed some of the specifications), but how he even got the feel of it just right. This was perhaps the most important part for me, as you know I have three herniated disks in my lower back. I now have couches that I can actually sit on! This is due not only to his skill as a couch maker but to your talent in what you do, talking to the customer and really finding out exactly what that person needs. You have remarkable patience and I always felt I could trust you because you gave me honest answers to my questions. I never felt like I was being pressured or pushed into anything and I was able to take the time I needed to come up with just the right couch. I have truly enjoyed our conversations and will now have to order another couch to continue them! Actually after getting these couches it's hard for me to imagine getting couches any other way, since I couldn't find anything anywhere (we looked for three years), that fit what I was looking for in either looks, quality (I did not see a warranty like yours), and especially comfort, until I called you. We are now coming up with what we want for the family room and you will be hearing from me once again. I can't wait. One other thing, they were also delivered sooner than I expected and it was so nice of you to surprise me and have them before the holidays, even though I didn't ask you for that but wished that I could have them before then! I know that you and your brother made an extra effort for that. Thank you.

What I also appreciated was that after I received the couches you really made sure that everything was as it should be. This is very important. One other thing I neglected to mention is how nice it is to call knowing that you are going to speak to a real person and always the same one. I would tell anybody, and I have been telling everyone, that even if they are afraid to order couches online they can order with confidence from you, as you will help them every step of the way and they will really get what they wished for.

Cathy, I've been meaning to write you a testimonial with pictures ever since our furniture was delivered. I'm kind of glad I waited. We love our new sleeper sofa, love seat, chair, storage ottoman and extra pillows. We get compliments all the time and sing your praises. I have not had this level of service in years. I'm so glad we used the sultry suede. With pets and kids, it is wearing like a trouper. I've already cleaned blood, food, ink among other stuff off with great success. The cat and dog's claws aren't harming it at all either.

Our 4 chairs and huge storage ottoman arrived yesterday. The delivery service was great. They called for directions about 40 minutes before they arrived (as Mapquest gave them incorrect info.). They took the pieces out of the packaging before they brought it in, so we didn't have to deal with it in the house. One guy stayed in the truck and removed all the packaging, the other was able to easily carry each piece into the house and set it up in the living room.

The photos do not do the chairs justice. They are so beautiful, comfortable, elegant. The fabric looks and feels wonderful. The texture is exactly what I was looking for. I have so many options with the armless chairs, they look incredible as two loveseats, just as I was hoping, and using them as four chairs around the ottoman makes a wonderful, cozy conversation area...and we have a great place to play a game or put our feet up. If in the future we move to a larger home, we could use a contrasting fabric and get a coordinating sofa. Last night we sat in the living room, and I modestly told my husband "this looks like a page in a magazine!"

I just love my Hughes sleeper chair and a half with the matching ottoman. I wanted to take the time to write and thank you for the great experience I had with CarolinaChair. At first my wife and I were a bit skeptical of shopping for furniture over the internet. When it became obvious that we had few other choices because of some abnormal dimensions we were trying to fit, we took a chance with your company. It has proven to be a terrific experience. First - you were extremely helpful in walking me through the different choices of furniture and fabrics we had to choose from. Your explanations were both clear and descriptive. You did not try to rush or pressure us into making a purchase and seemed intent on helping us make the right decision for us.

Second - your web site is very user friendly, even for a technology novice like myself. I was able to navigate through the site easily and the information included covered almost every question I had.

Third - you worked hard to make sure that the furniture not only was completed on time but took the extra time and care to insure that it was delivered to my house prior to the Christmas Holiday even though I had placed my order on such short notice - order entry to delivery: a little over 1 month. Truly a gift.

Fourth, and most importantly, I got sit on my new sectional last night. The first 10 words out of my mouth were, "I Love it!, I absolutely love it! I love it! I just wanted to let you know that we received our sectional last week and we absolutely love it. It fits perfectly in our family room. I am so thankful for your company!!!! We now have a couch that is functional for our family. We don't have to be bothered by not being comfortable when we are trying to enjoy our family time now. Everyone has a space and can be totally comfortable!!! The fabric is beautiful and cozy and inviting. We love our new couch and again are so thankful I found your company so we could make it fit our family room and our family perfectly.

Finally I am sending the photos that I promised well over three years ago. Maybe it's not all bad that these photos are tardy because now I can attest to the longevity of your furniture under harsh usage. We have a custom sized Hughs sofa and chair and a half with ottoman. The upholstery and slipcovers were described to me as very hardwearing. This furniture replaced This End Up sofas whose cushions were losing the battle with our dogs. Although there was no intentional abuse, we did have two, and sometimes three dogs on the sofa who were constantly going in and out, in rain, snow, and mud, in the woods, with no grass to speak of. The sofa was also the place where one of the dogs would sometimes take stolen food and consume it if she could get away with it. This same dog had the curious habit of wiping her face on the sofa to "clean-up" after her contraband meals. Needless to say, the sofa would get dirty, smelly and furry. When it would get soiled beyond the reach of vacuuming and surface washing, I would carefully wash the cushion slipcovers in almost-cold water on a short cycle and put them in the dryer on slightly warm for a few minutes, and then air dry. Even though the fabric was not considered washable, the sofa would magically return to it's original pristine state...for awhile at least.

I sort of knew that this fabric would be OK with pets and washing because I had subjected the fabric samples to repeated torture: soaking, washing, even scratching at it with a fork to simulate dog and cat claws. I was ready to accept responsibility for possibly ruining those slipcovers, but they are still fine.

Even more amazing to me is that, along with the dogs and cats, I have a very tall teenaged son who regularly plops down on the sofa with more force than I like, because he "forgets". He takes after his dad who also plops and forgets. I am happy to report that the springs and frame still seem to be in like-new condition. I am just amazed at this furniture. View photos.

I wanted to get back to you on our fabulous custom chaise we received before Thanksgiving. The movers were topnotch and the chaise is beautiful. We are going to spend endless hours catching a nap or reading in the chaise. The kids also love it. The color is very vibrant and suitable for a sunroom. This is the first chance I've had to let you know that I received the furniture and absolutely love it. Just got back from Georgia yesterday and what a mess in Broward County. Hi Cathy. Just wanted to say that the sectional arrived Tues night about 6:00. The guys were terrific with the care of unpacking and carrying it in. It looks simply elegant........beyond what I dreamed it to be. We love it. The nailhead trim is perfect, the size couldn't have been within one inch more perfect. My design challenge: The family room furniture consisted of two large caramel-colored leather love seats, and a blue/teal leather recliner. I decided that a large ottoman, in a fabric that incorporated both colors, would bring the room together. Upon searching many furniture stores for ottomans and sorting through their respective fabric options, it became clear that I would have to find an appropriate fabric on my own. I found one bolt of a plaid fabric that was absolutely perfect, yet could not find a company locally that would allow for COM. What about the internet? I found Carolina Chair out of sheer desperation. For over a year I had been looking for a Victorian style sofa and ottoman. It had to fit into a 10 x 12 room and be mauve and sage. I happened on CarolinaChair online quite by accident the way one does these days– but was intrigued by their website and stayed to browse their “showroom.” I read the testimonials, looked at the classic pieces of furniture, made decision that same day and ordered. I was impressed by the efficiency and personal service I received – I knew everybody by their first names within days!

Here’s a testament to the comfort and joy of my new sofa: my girlfriend came for a two day visit, got sick, and ended up staying four days – guess where she camped out? Not in a guest bedroom, no. My husband and I recently down-sized from a five-bedroom home to a home with one master bedroom and one guest room. Since we have five children and 10 grandchildren, this was not an easy decision to make. The end of April we realized we desperately needed a sleeper sofa for the family room to accommodate a visit from our daughter and her two children the first of June. I just had to let you know again how pleased we were to receive our new sleeper sofas last night. I have enclosed a couple of pictures to let you see them in our home. My husband and I looked at several sites on the web for sofas, and once when we came across CarolinaChair's website, we didn't need to look any further. Cathy, just wanted to say how delighted we are with our English style custom sofa and chair. We were able to get the custom "look" and "quality" we wanted - at a price we could afford. Until we found CarolinaChair, we felt eight-way hand-tied furniture was a luxury and likely out of our reach. Allowing the customer to provide fabric can be a real money saver and as we found out - is not the normal practice of most furniture manufacturers or decorators.

Also, we have never had such well built furniture in the 30 years we've been married. Most 6' sofas will not provide comfortable support for 3 people; however, just like a good mattress, with eight-way hand-tied construction, each sofa cushion is supported and this prevents you from "leaning" into the other guy - unless you want to, of course. Fast furniture is an oxymoron...except when you work with Carolinachair.com. It's the closest thing to immediate gratification in the furniture business. Even when using custom fabric from Barrow, requiring sample transmittals from the third party, everything was painless. Every detail was carefully monitored, checked and double checked. The only thing worse than furniture shopping is furniture shipping, and that too, was effortless. There was online tracking, great local coordination...and delivery people who carefully removed all packing material. Biggest problem with the new furniture is getting the guests off it and into the dining room for dinner...then getting them to leave afterwards. Just a note to let you know that we absolutely LOVE OUR COUCH! The color reminds me of fine cocoa powder, such a rich and comfortable fabric. The cushions are so comfortable, and I must say the quality is amazing. With the choices you recommended (fiber-down cushion option with horizon mink fabric), I think the couch is entirely too comfortable. I've never known a couch to be "dangerous," but that's exactly what we have. You have to be careful not to lie down too early or you'll find yourself 3/4 of the way through the movie or at the tail end of your own cocktail party. We were trying to come up with a name for it and the "Bermuda Triangle" is the only true descriptive name that feels right! It's amazing and you made the process feel good from start to finish. I simply had to take a moment to relay my experience with CarolinaChair to prospective customers. I just received my Hughes sleeper sofa and love it. It's super comfortable and the Microfibre fabric is great, very soft. The size is perfect for our small home office/guest room. I recently ordered a sectional sofa from CarolinaChair.com. I received it yesterday, and it is absolutely beautiful and so very comfortable. I have learned that the hardest part in finding a sectional sofa is to find one that will fit through doorways and up narrow stairways. The sectional I ordered came with a corner chair and was not overly large. This allowed me to fit it into a small third story room. CarolinaChair also made a modification in the frame at no extra charge. My husband dropped one of the cushions in the garage in the process of moving things around. I was able to wash the cushion cover in the washing machine, as it was microfibre. It came out as beautiful as ever. Thank you so much. I am so glad I took a chance on an online company. The free delivery and free ottoman were an added bonus!

The sectional is fabulous! It looks GREAT in our little efficiency condo and is so very comfortable. My sectional pieces arrived yesterday, and I'm so excited! You were right...they are absolutely beautiful! Of course I can't take credit for the color since my husband picked it out...but it really is lovely and lightens up the room so much (we had dark slipcovers on the old sofas which absorbed a lot of light, but also hid a multitude of sins!) Also, I can't thank you enough for going over the different styles with me...I am very pleased with how sturdy and well-made the pieces are. Any comparable pieces I had seen here in L.A. would have cost me at least twice what I paid with Carolina Chair, and I would not have been able to choose the type of fabric or color. My husband and I just received our Hughes chair and 1/2, and we love it. The quality construction is unmistakeable. Its sturdy appearance makes our store bought upholstered furniture look insubstantial in contrast. We have decided to purchase a sofa now that we have seen what wonderful furniture you build. Initially apprehensive about purchasing furniture without being able to sit on it first, we were gratified to see that our chair "fits" both my 6'5" husband and my 5'7" self. As a bonus, it provides the back support my husband needs. I especially appreciate that we can purchase custom slip-covers down the road to get a new look. With furniture of this quality, I expect that we may purchase slip-covers in a few years rather than replacing the furniture, making Carolina Chair a very cost-effective option. I hope more people will take a chance on Carolina Chair; you sell just the kind of product consumers need more of: high quality at a reasonable price. I also loved working with your sales people by phone: they were more than willing to make the custom adjustments I requested. Where else would I get such individualized treatment without paying for high end custom furniture?

After a LOT of research on construction online (CC offers eight-way hand tied and kiln dried hardwood frame) and warranties (CC has LIFETIME on everything, but the fabric), etc), I ordered the Hughes sofa from Carolina Chair. I received it in October and I am very pleased. Their prices are good and they offer free shipping and a 30 day return. Also, if you do not see exactly what you want they can custom make it, as they are the manufacturer. I had them change the back pillows on the Hughes sofa to provide more back support for my 6'3" husband and it is just perfect! I am VERY pleased! I ordered the sofa with the upgraded feather/ down wrapped cushions, it has a firm, but soft seat. I even had a small problem with the fabric. It was not their fault, but the fabric manufacturer's and they went out of their way to make it right for me. I have to admit that I was a little hesitant about ordering from them as I could not touch (although the fabric swatches helped!) or sit on the sofa, but now I am glad that I took the chance. Everyone who comes over and sits on it LOVES it and cannot believe that I got such value and quality sight unseen and over the internet no less. Thank you very much for making such a wonderful sofa that I am sure we will enjoy for years to come.
