Most of the furniture sold sold in stores and on the Internet is overpriced cheap imports. We build furniture made to last ... and at affordable prices. Here is a list of items to consider when buying furniture. Don't accept any substitutes in any of these categories. You'll pay in the long run ...

1. Frames & Joints
In order to ensure long lasting stability, our frames are made from 1 1/4" 100% solid kiln dried hardwood. Look out for these hidden substitutes: hardwood laminates, frames under an inch thick or pine frames. All of these hinder the longevity of quality furniture. Are critical joints in the frames double doweled, glued and stapled? Ours are.

2. Seating
Again, there is only one choice in quality furniture ... eight way hand tied steel coil springs. Cheap substitutes include eight gauge sinuous springs, no sag, serpentine springs or webbing. Any of these substitutes will cause unsightly sagging over a short period of time. Remember, there are no substitutes. Here are photos to illustrate the difference. It's plain to see.

3. Cushions
If a sofa doesn't have high quality cushions, don't buy it ... pretty simple. Every standard Carolina Chair seat cushion is made with Reflex™ High-Resiliency foam core with a Reflex soft wrap on top and bottom for added comfort. Or you can upgrade to fiber down or all down cushions.

4. Shipping
Often ignored by many retailers, this is very important to the end consumer. We provide free shipping for any furniture purchase AND our free shipping includes free white glove delivery. Many companies offer free shipping but do not deliver inside the home. They leave it on the front doorstep or at the end of the driveway. They charge extra to bring it inside the home. Don't be fooled.

5. Manufacturer
Investigate the manufacturer. If the manufacturer will not sell to you directly, learn everything about them. Some Internet sites hide the true manufacturer's name with a fake name. Why? Because no furniture manufacturer sells all of its products online to the consumer except for Carolina Chair.

6. Speak with experts
Since Carolina Chair is the manufacturer, our customers have the opportunity to converse with the people who are building their furniture. Our customer service is superior. We make it. We sell it. No one knows our furniture better.

7. Photos of furniture in production or right after its built
This is truly unique. Carolina Chair is the only manufacturer to send photos to its customers while the furniture is being made or right after its built.

See a specific piece, but want a little change? We can modify our current line of furniture to suit your needs. And, custom changes won't cost you an arm and a leg. We even have 7500 different fabrics in our Special Request Fabrics section. You can even provide your own fabric with our Customer's Own Material program.
